The New York Marathon

Challenges: Over a 12-hour period, we must support a city-sized group of 52,000 people, as they run 26.2 miles, over 4 major bridges through the 5 boroughs of New York City in the rain, sleet, snow or sunshine.

Our Solution: iCrowd designed a robust medical system consisting of 1500 medical professionals, 35 medical tents and a complete command and control system to manage resources and care for over 8000 patients on race day. With a fully integrated radio communication system, a complete web based incident management platform and an expert medical and command staff in place, the medical system operated effieciently and provided compassionate care for any runner who needed assistance.

Result: The largest marathon in the world ran a safe event and sets the standard for excellence in race medical care. iCrowd provides this support every year.

 

David Blaine

Challenges: How do you keep an extreme performer safe during extremely dangerous performances? That was our resposibility during one of David Blaine’s most challenging performances. We needed to account for emergency rescue, toxic gases, radiation, dehydration, extremely high voltage electricity and his caloric needs; all in a fashion not to be seen by the audience.

Our Solution: Utilizing our technology and life safety expertise, we designed an intrinsically safe hydration sysytem with interchangable fluids, a rescue system, a supplemental oxygen system and a radiation and ozone monitoring system. We, also, provided onsite medical personnel to monitor and treat any medical emergencies.

Results: The audience was thrilled by the performance and never knew all of the technology that was in place to keep David Blaine safe and healthy.

Royal Caribbean

Challenge: An 8-day high energy, higher risk specialized private charter that required additional support to keep 6,500 guests safe and sound to allow the parties to continue, uninterrupted.

Our Solution: iCrowd worked closely with the ships security, medical and charter departments to design a supplemental team that seamlessly integrated into existing shipboard resources. We responded when necessary and helped keep the ship operating smoothly during the week.

Results:: Our team helped Royal Caribbean mitigate their risk and kept guests safe. The guests partied and those that needed assistance, were taken care. We operated seamlessly with the ships teams.

 

Boston Calling

Challenges:  Held-over a three day period at Harvard Stadium, hundreds of event personnel require seamless communications throughout the weekend to keep operations going smoothly and manage an average for 40,000 attendees per day.   

Our Solution: iCrowd provided hundreds of two-way radios and accessories, as well as a mobile communications trailer to provide a network of crystal clear, redundant coverage venuewide.

Results: Event staff at Boston Calling had uninterrupted communications coverage throughout the weekend, with a total of over 90,000 successful PTT transmissions and 0 busy signals.  With our communications equipment on battery-back up, event communications ran continuously, despite power outages in the city.
